7days7faces

Welcome to my #7days7faces blog. I anticipate that this will be one of my longest blogs as it will be written over the week.

Lemme give you a little background on #7days7faces. I don't know when it was started but what I do know is that it was started by a makeup artist Foyinog and it has its page on Instagram as 7days_7faces

7days7faces is initially a makeup challenge but now it can be performed over any medium. The themes for each day are in the image above. This is my first time taking part but I am excited and hope my brush skills aren't too bad.

With that said, "Ready? Set. Blend!"

Day 1: Purple πŸ’œ

When I saw the theme was Purple, I immediately thought of Cheshire, the cat from Alice in Wonderland. The look took me three hours to complete and I don't have the best of products so I had to do with what I had. it was a challenging look but I don't think it turned out bad. Maybe I could have made the mouth smaller but I'm satisfied with the outcome.

Day 2: Statement Lip πŸ‘„

Day 2 was great. I know I went with a generic red lip but do you see the ombre? It was difficult to paint my lips because I was afraid the gloss would smudge all my hard work. Luckily it didn't and I got to give you this stunning look. I would like to add that collage making might be one of my favourite things to do now.

Day 3: Album Cover 🐝

"Find some time to do something" and I did. On day 3, I did the album cover of Tyler the Creator, Flower Boy. This was a bit tricky as I had to get the miniature clouds and sunflowers all on my eyelid. I also struggled as the colour kept blending in where they shouldn't have but I am happy I completed it. Overall, I think I did a good job no?

Day 4: Cartoon πŸƒ

If you know me, it wouldn't have been a shocker that I chose Harley Quinn. I am sun a big Harley fan and think she is the baddest villain in the DC universe. The most difficult part was writing "ROTTEN" on my face. I had to write it inverted and lucky enough, I got it right in the first go. I am so proud of how it turned out.

Day 5: Animal Prints πŸ„

"I'm a cow, mooo." This face was fun, I think this is my favourite look and I'll wear it out sometime. I only did the eyeshadow and didn't feel like styling my hair cause it just looked good like that. Can we also talk about the glow I have on? It completes this look.

Day 6: Rainbow 🌈

I had to complete this look in less than 20 minutes cause I knew I wouldn't get time to do it on Saturday. I think it turned out great, I might add. My little blending skills came in handy here. I thought that I wouldn't have been able to complete the challenge but luckily, I thought of completing Day 6 beforehand.

Day 7: Soft Glam πŸ’–

And the last day finally came. I didn't think that I would finish the challenge cause I was super busy on day 7. But look at me, look at this, I finished. With the Soft glam theme, I finally know where most of my skills lack. I didn't know what to do I just went with pink cause soft pink right? Glad I finished.

Overall, I had fun and enjoyed doing each look. I didn't know what to do on some days yet I winged it and got through to the last day.

I hope you got to enjoy the blog as much as I enjoyed the challenge. This must be the longest I've written so do tell me what you think of it.
