The Dating Plan

I read another romantic comedy by Sara Desai and, unfortunately, it didn’t hold my attention like the other book. Maybe this happened because it was a sort of sequel to ‘The Marriage Game’ but just with different main characters. Nothing felt new here and maybe that is why I didn’t quite enjoy ‘The Dating Plan’ as much as the first book.

‘The Dating Plan’ focused on yet another female character being forced to get married because her older cousin from the previous book found a fiancé. I honestly preferred Daisy as a side character in the main book so when she because the focus of her own novel, it just felt off. Sequels should be a continuation of the first book, not a different story. To have made this book more enjoyable to me, I would have preferred either a continuation of Layla and Sam’s story or Daisy’s own story without the play on the first title.

Nonetheless, I did finish the story in the end because yes, I did want to know if Daisy does end up with Liam in the end. I honestly don’t know what more I could say about ‘The Dating Plan’ but do read it and let me know what I have missed.

  1. I'll have to read the first book first than. But romance is romance. I'm a sucker for it nonetheless
