Cordes and Co.

Cordes and Co. is a long-standing cafe that has been operational since 1903. This 118-year-old establishment is situated on Daniel Tjongarero Avenue and is hard to miss as it has a big sign right outside.

I came here to escape from my busy schedule and soon found myself a cosy nook to sit and relax in. I chose the outside seating because I wanted a little bit of sunshine in Swakopmund as it is so scarce.

Cordes and Co. boost on having the best coffee in town and I had to taste it for myself. I got a Cappuccino and I must say it definitely is a contender for the best cup of coffee I have ever had.

To eat, I had the cinnamon and sugar crepes. I never had crepes before and I do not know how they are supposed to taste like. Yet, the crepes I had here tasted like pancakes. I have had their brownie before and this was quite delightful.

What I love about Cordes and Co. is the outside seating, it is plant-filled, it had mirrors and I  got to meet a little bird friend while enjoying my coffee.

I am so glad I got to leave my house for the little while that I was gone. And even more glad that I came to a place as welcoming as this. I did make a mini reel on my Instagram and you can view it if you click here. I hope you enjoy it.
