Becoming

Book Review 🌸

"Failure is a feeling long before the actual result"

Becoming by Michelle Obama explores the world of a female professional, politics, motherhood as a first black Lady of the United States of America (USA). An inspirational woman who has fought battles in her early livelihood and has conquered and soared to higher heights.

Michelle is an exceptional woman and this book gave us an insight we did not have. Never would I have guessed she was being criticised for trying her best, criticised for her features just because she is in the public eye. Yet, that's the foal game of being related to politics in any way I guess.

Becoming explores Michelle and parts of Michelle which are the character developments of her as a child, the jobs she has held before stepping into the role as the First Lady, and most importantly her family. She talks about Barack and how they came together, about her parents and their struggles, her family and Barrack's that have affected them, and lastly her children with the little she shares.

I would have loved to read this book earlier in my life as it would have inspired me to achieve much more than I have now. Yet, I don't regret it not being written then because life is all about figuring it out and becoming. Becoming you in ways only you can find.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐

  1. Please note spelling of Barack Obama. This may be a good book, but your post does not explain why.

  2. Thank you for the spotting the spelling error on the surname. In the future, I will look into describing why a book is good.
