My first book after the hiatus and I feel like it has been done before. Long Time Coming by Sandra Brown talks about an absent father that comes back into the “mother’s” life to finally rekindle their long-lost love for each other and to end up as a happy family. This is how I would describe the book to anyone who asked, and you all deserve an honest opinion.
Long Time Coming has some spark to it but not the fire I wanted after not reading for a while. The rekindling of love was an uphill battle, and somebody had to lose- the grandma. It definitely had its hands in the Mills and Boons raw honey jar, but it was not enough to save the book. I finished this in one afternoon and not because it had me glued but because I had to see it through.
Yes, my review might be harsh because I
haven’t read in a while so enjoying a book is foreign to me. Yes, you
definitely do not have to listen to any word in this review. Finally yes, my
review is based solely on my opinion and you might experience it differently.
So, why not experience it and find Long Time Coming by Sandra Brown, give it a
read, and comment with your views. I would love to read what you all thought
about it.
1-star rating (only because I can't go lower)
