If only I had a king tell me what my destiny was... maybe I would not be worried about the wows of the world and would feel more fulfilled.
Book Review 🌸
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is my first 5 stars rated book and I am here to tell you why. This Master Work, if I may, is a think piece that explores not only your spirituality but you as a person and your perception of life and its path laid out for you.
It is a great book that motivates people to go after their dreams. The Alchemist talks about people, omens and nature and how the world conspires to help you when you have set a path to follow your dreams. The book creates a film that takes place in the mind of the reader, I saw everything that I read.
It might have been a short read but I took more time analysing what I read than the reading. Filled with lessons and words of guidance, Paulo explores the life of a shepherd and tests his courage, bravery, and acquired knowledge through challenges that all seem unnecessary in the end. I say unnecessary as the poor shepherd header had to find his treasure right where he started. Yet, maybe this was a test to see if he was worthy of the treasure.
It was an enjoyable book, don't take it too seriously as this isn't a philosophical book. Yes, you can take quotes from it but don't expect to learn a whole lot as this is a fictional fantasy.
And I'll leave you with these quotes that I took from the book:
"When a person really desires to do something, all of the universe conspires to help that person realise their dream"
"It's not what enters man's mouth that's evil, it's what comes our of their mouth that is"
"One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving."
"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse then the suffering itself"
"The darkest hour of the night cam just before dawn"
"It's not what enters man's mouth that's evil, it's what comes our of their mouth that is"
"One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving."
"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse then the suffering itself"
"The darkest hour of the night cam just before dawn"
RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
